The objective of the present paper is to evaluate statistically the hydrocarbon bearing zones in relation to the gas shows (methane to butane) associated with the drilled cuttings in many producing wells in the Gulf of Suez, the Western Desert, Mediterranean and the Nile Delta. A new development in the application of Pixler and the triangular analysis plots is achieved. In addition, the geochemical trends of the Lower Senonian reservoir of the Belayim oilfield, Miocene reservoir of the Sinai oilfield and the fractured pre-Cambrian basement reservoir of the Ashrafi oilfields were determined. It is worth mentioning that, the non producing wells are located outside these trends.
