Greenhouse gas management has emerged from being an issue of potential long range concern to becoming a key issue in hydrocarbon resource development planning. The oil and gas industry worldwide has seen increasing public concern and accompanying regulatory demands ranging from the Kyoto Protocol to national, regional and state level requirements.
